BDK Advokati has continued this year its support to the Belgrade Arbitration Conference and the Belgrade Pre Moot Competition.
Our Managing Partner Tijana Kojović chaired the second panel at X Belgrade Arbitration Conference, devoted to the recent procedural developments. The panel members were James Menz, deputy secretary general and head of case management at the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS), discussing new DIS Arbitration rules; Patrizia Netal, co-founder and partner at KNOETZL, discussing new VIAC arbitration rules; Ivana Blagojević, deputy counsel with the ICC International Court of Arbitration, discussing new ICC Arbitration rules; Michael Howe, counsel at Wilmer Hale discussing LCIA Arbitration rules; Dr. Mladen Stojiljković, associate at Homburger Zurich, discussing the “brush up” of Switzerland’s Private International Law Act and Milica Savić, senior associate at Karanović-Nikolić, discussing Serbian Arbitration Rules and Law. The conference attracted more than 150 practitioners, academics and students.
Following the conference, on 17th and 18th March, BDK Advokati hosted 24 teams competing at the Belgrade Pre Moot. The teams showcased their performance before lawyers acting as mock arbitrators, in preparation for the 25th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot taking place in Vienna this week.
