The government of North Macedonia adopted in the recent weeks a series of regulations, further elaborating and operationalising the provisions of the Network and Information Systems Security Act of 4 July 2025. With this development, the government has made significant progress in completing the national legal framework in the field of cybersecurity.

The Republic of North Macedonia has undertaken significant legislative reforms aimed at establishing a favourable legal framework for developing and constructing data centers as infrastructure facilities of strategic importance.

Serbia has recently initiated a public discussion over a Draft Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Act. The new act aligns with the EU's Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) and creates the legal preconditions for the further development and integration of Serbian alternative fuels infrastructure with the neighbouring countries and Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
