Belgrade, 12 November 2015: BDK Advokati/Attorneys at Law and the Association of Private Security Firms co-organized at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce a conference on Costs of Training and Licensing of Private Security Officers. The speakers included Mr. Zoran Lazić (Assistant Minister of Labour), Ms. Snežana Bogdanović (Head of the Sector for Improvement of Labour and Legal Matters at the Ministry of Labour) and representatives of the Ministry of Interior. Ana Jankov, Head of Employment Practice at BDK Advokati/Attorneys at Law talked about the insufficient regulation of the issue who bears the costs of licensing of private security officers (the individuals concerned or their employers). The topic is relevant for around 200 employers operating in the private security business in Serbia and for around 40,000 security officers, who are facing the fast-approaching deadline for licensing (1 January 2017).
