As of 1 April 2021, foreigners can apply for the temporary residence permit without having to enter Serbia, electronically via e-Government Portal (“Portal“). The applicant should select “Living in Serbia”. After submitting the application form, the applicant will be instructed on further actions through the Portal. Once the temporary residence permit is granted, the applicant receives in his electronic mailbox at the Portal a notification about the date and the place where he/she can collect the permit in Serbia. The foreigner must pick up the permit personally.
