According to the new Law on Gender Equality, which will come into force on 25 December 2010, employers having more than 50 permanent employees will be obliged each year to adopt an annual plan on gender equality by 31 January.
Furthermore, the employers will have to prepare a report on implementation of the plan for the previous period and to submit this report to the Ministry of Labour until 31 March.
The first plan on gender equality, the one for 2011, will thus have to be adopted by 31 January 2011.
The content of the plan on gender equality and the implementation report is regulated in detail in an implementing decree enacted on the basis of the Law.
Employers who fail to adopt the gender equality plan and/or file the implementation report may be fined. The fines range from EUR 100 to approx. EUR 1,000.
