BDK Advokati successfully advised Waberer’s Group on the acquisition of MD International. In accordance with the sale and purchase agreement signed on October 6, 2023, Waberer’s wholly-owned subsidiary, WSZL Kft., has successfully concluded the acquisition of a 55% interest in MD International of Serbia. As part of this transaction, WSZL has also secured an option to acquire an additional 45% interest, as well as a 0.1% stake in MDI Dobanovci, a separate entity resulting from the carve-out of MDI, which possesses 8.5 hectares of land designated for logistics center development in the Dobanovci municipality, near Belgrade.
Zsolt Barna, Chairman and CEO of Waberer’s International Plc, said at the closing of the acquisition that the Group’s strategy, presented last year, will be achieved through a combination of organic development, investments, and acquisitions. The acquisition of a majority stake in MDI effectively supports these objectives and is the first major acquisition in a series.
