First day of the 10th International Energy and Investment Days was held yesterday in Congress Centre “Master” of the Novi Sad Fair. The Association Renewable Energy Sources of Serbia (RES Serbia) and BDK Advokati hosted the panel discussion dedicated to investments in the renewable energy sector in Serbia.
Panelists Dejan Popović, the president of the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia, Miloš Colić, Managing Director of New Energy Solutions, Dejana Popović Milovanović, Project manager for connection to transmission network at EMS, Pavle Milekić, Principal Banker at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Aleksandar Savić, Head of public sector and specialized lending department at Erste Bank Serbia and Miloš Kostić, CEO at MT-KOMEX discussed the newly adopted regulatory framework for investments in renewables, various aspects of risk assessments by the creditors, comparative analysis of good and bad practices in the field, potential issues, and challenges of balancing the electricity produced from renewables on the energy market. Our senior partner Dragoljub Cibulić moderated the panel discussion.
