BDK advised a Swiss based company Newmet International AG on a successful takeover bid for the acquisition of majority shares in Nissal AD. Nissal AD is the Serbian company with the longest tradition and a leading position in producing and processing of aluminium and aluminium alloys in Serbia. BDK team was led by Senior Partner Vladimir Dašić who advised Newmet in relation to transaction documents and Partner Mirjana Mladenović in relation to takeover bid aspect of this transaction. Associate Igor Nikolić from the BDK competition team prepared a merger filing that was submitted to the Serbian competition authority. The authority cleared the transaction in summary (Phase I) proceedings.
