BDK Advokati contributed to the 2020 edition of Chambers and Partners Practical guide on Gaming

The 2020 edition of the Chambers’ Global Practice Guide on gambling law includes the chapter on Montenegro authored by Luka Popović, partner and Stefan Đurović, junior associate in BDK Advokati Montenegro.

The Montenegrin chapter gives an overview of the regulatory regime for the games of chance industry in Montenegro, offering information on the topics such as the types of permitted land-based and online games, licensing requirements and procedures, tax treatment, anti-money laundering requirements for operators, advertising restrictions, and penalties for non-compliance.

The authors also presented their expectations from the upcoming new legislation, that has been in preparation for a couple of yours now. Novelties are particularly expected in the fields of online gambling, licencing requirements for casino and lottery operators, and prevention of problem gambling.
