EMMA Capital acquired a majority share in Urion, Montenegrin healthcare distributor.
Founded in 1999, Urion specializes in the wholesale and distribution of medical devices and pharmaceuticals, as well as the servicing of medical equipment. Urion is a distributor for several globally recognized manufacturers and operates its own logistics, transport, and servicing infrastructure. Urion collaborates with both public and private healthcare institutions across Montenegro and is well-known for its numerous donations to hospitals and health centers.
EMMA Capital, a Czech investment holding, is actively building a network of healthcare distributors across Central and Eastern Europe. The investment in Urion represents a significant step in strengthening its regional platform.
BDK Advokati advised the shareholder of Urion on the transaction. Our combined Belgrade and Podgorica team, led by senior partner Vladimir Dašić, included associates Milan Popović (M&A) and Andjela Vučković (Employment), and junior associate Aleksa Janković.
