Competition

Competition

Competition and state aid laws and practices in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina are built on EU law. This complex legal area develops on a daily basis under the influence of changing technologies and policies. Expertise in this field requires not only in-depth knowledge of the relevant legal rules, soft law and case law, but also acute monitoring of the regulatory efforts at both the EU level and the national levels and a sound understanding of underlying policies as well as specific industries. We have a sound understanding of a broader competition law and state aid environment, which we can deploy to foresee the likely outcomes in the neighbouring Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Advisory work

Our advisory work in competition and state aid law areas includes assessment of commercial contracts, commercial policies, and business models, assessment of transactions for determination whether they need to be reported to the antitrust authority or the authority in charge of state aid control, drafting of legal documents with a view to their compliance with competition law, compliance audits and health-checks, and compliance trainings.

Representation in investigations

We represent clients in infringement proceedings, proceedings pursuant to notifications of concentration and application for individual exemption of restrictive agreements. We also provide instant support during dawn raids, and assist with preparation of leniency applications.
